Return / Refund Policy

Most Parts are eligible for full refund (minus 10% restocking fee if the component needs to be tested) if returned. Custom Made Parts are not eligible for refund (custom cut spokes / custom batteries).

If the component does not need to be tested (for example, a freewheel) then the restocking fee does not apply. For items such as controllers / displays / throttles / motors, etc, the component will need to be tested and the restocking fee will apply. This ensures that the product will be perfectly functional for the next customer.


If returned part is not functional, we will determine if the part can be repaired, and the cost of the repair will be subtracted from the refund. For example, if a motor kit is returned, but the throttle does not work, and the throttle was $20, then $20 will be taken off of the refund.

Batteries can be exchanged for a battery of equal or greater value if you determine that you need more battery capacity, or have another reason to upgrade (within first 30 days). 


PLEASE NOTE: MOST OF OUR BATTERIES ARE CUSTOM MADE.

Custom Made Batteries are not eligible for return. Please make sure that the battery is compatible with your system. We can verify fitment for you but will have to do so in advance, to verify email AffordableEBikes@gmail.com with a photo of your bike, with a measuring tape pressed against the frame, taken from FAR BACK. See image below. Then we can verify fitment of the battery.



For example, if you order a 72V battery from us, but later you find out that your bike does not accept a 72V battery, you cannot return it.

Returns
 
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 


Refunds (if applicable) 
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. 
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable) 
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at AffordableEbikes@gmail.com. 

Sale items (if applicable) 
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. 

Exchanges (if applicable) 
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at AffordableEbikes@gmail.com and contact us before sending out your item for an address.

Shipping 
To return your product, you should contact us before sending out your item for an address.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
